Xavier Morales-Greene (He/Him)

Xavier was born around and raised within the Humboldt Park community and spent a lot of his younger years volunteering in the community. He is currently a sophomore at Northeastern Illinois University studying sociology. Outside of the publication and education, Xavier trains and competes in Kickboxing and Muay Thai, and also works in the 26th Ward as a Barrio Services Coordinator under alderperson Jessie Fuentes. He is eager to have the opportunity to serve his community through Que Ondee Sola and the work he does with the alderperson.
Jasmine Rodriguez (She/Her)

Jasmine Rodriguez is a graduate with a BA in English from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU). She is continuing her academic studies with an MA in English Literature at NEIU. Her passion lies in exploring counter-narratives in her writing, particularly where it challenges and disrupts hegemonic oppression. For her, Que Ondee Sola is a place where voices articulate dissent, celebrate diversity, forge new pathways for Latino/e/a/x identity, and build community with the oppressed diaspora. During her weekends, she dedicates her time to her family and friends.
Crystal Lynn Pérez (She/Her)

Crystal Lynn Pérez is a recent graduate of NEIU with a BA in English and a minor in Linguistics. She is extremely passionate about studying languages, writing poetry, and reading the latest peer-reviewed journal articles. She strongly believes in social justice and strives to do her part in all matters pertaining to community activism.
Sophia “Phi” Ruiz (She/Her/They/Them)

Writer, Illustrator, and nosabo kid on duolingo. Sophia is a current CMT student at NEIU with a love for studying all things Taino related, and strives to teach everyone about Puerto Rican history whether they like it or not.
Clay Cofre (They/Them)

Clay Cofre is a Queer Latiné Poet from Chicago. Their work deals in Highway underpasses, aging, and goopy outside sensations. In their free time, you may catch them working on La Mosca and/or laying on some grass.
Joseph Pablo Strom (He/Him)

Joseph is a juris doctor candidate at Chicago-Kent College of Law. He previously earned his BA in English and Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Outside of school, Joseph’s work focuses on defending and expanding the legal rights of working people in Chicago. With a heart for justice and his family, he maintains a personal interest in the history and unequal legal status of the US territories, particularly Puerto Rico.
Jesus Robles (He/Him)

Jesus is an Artist/Graphic Designer/Printmaker based in Chicago. He is currently a student at NEIU and works with Student Leadership Development in Graphic Design with projects for Que Ondee Sola, Independent, and others. His goal is to bring awareness to taking care of mental health with his art and or become a printmaking professor. He enjoys listening to music, games, crafts, and automotive work.
